Jillian Jaccard – Chief Executive Officer

Ms. Jaccard is a co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Pier Asset Management. Prior to founding Pier, she was Executive Vice President of Capital Markets at Patch of Land where she built one of the first institutional whole loan sale programs in the real estate marketplace lending industry, secured $750M in loan purchase commitments, managed the firm’s warehouse funding, and lead equity capitalization efforts. Prior to her time in marketplace lending, Ms. Jaccard worked with technology clients in the Capital Markets group at a leading middle market investment bank, Houlihan Lokey. She has completed the Series 7, Series 63, Series 65, and Series 79 examinations. She is a graduate of the Loyola Marymount University Honors Program and has a B.S. in Accounting and a B.B.A. in Finance.

Conor Neu – Chief Investment Officer

Mr. Neu is a co-founder and the Chief Investment Officer of Pier Asset Management. Mr. Neu has more than 14 years of securities experience, specializing in volatility and events trading across Asia, and the marketplace lending industry in the U.S.. Prior to founding Pier, Mr. Neu has been managing the Evolution Income Funds at Evolution Capital Management as a Managing Director. Mr. Neu founded some of the first funds in the marketplace lending industry, purchased some of the first whole loans from the biggest platforms in the industry, and completed two of the first rated securitizations of marketplace lending securities. Joining Evolution at inception in 2002, he played an integral role in building out several of Evolution’s arbitrage, event driven and volatility strategies across global markets before founding Evolution’s marketplace lending strategy in 2012. He has completed the Series 65 examination. Mr. Neu graduated with a B.S.E. in Computer Science from Princeton University.

Sara Star Villalon – Director of Research

Ms. Villalon is a co-founder and the Director of Research for Pier Asset Management. Prior to Pier, she has been a Research Associate with Evolution Capital Management. Ms. Villalon joined the investment team of the Evolution Income Funds in 2013 with responsibilities regarding technology support, loan servicing, platform analytics, and risk management. She holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles.
